And it continues. After reading an article yesterday which indicated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was ready to negotiated until the white smoke rose, (a reference to the selection process of the Pope), we now read today that the process may be near deaths door again.
Tony Blair, the former British Prime Minister, has warned that profound troubles will ensue if negotiations don't get back on track. At the same time, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas fears the nations of the Middle-East will become frustrated if talks stagnate. Quite a statement from the P.A. President considering it may be the Palestinians intransigence towards recognizing Israel as a Jewish state and the P.A.s demand that Israel accept the "right of return", (essentially making Israel another Arab state), which is holding up negotiations. This, according to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.
Our belief is that there never will be an agreement between the Palestinians andIsrael over a new Arab state called Palestine . Instead this issue will explode into war. Profound troubles; Frustrated Middle-East nations; Sound like buzz words for war to us. We keep warning that what is currently happening between Israel and the Palestinians is of major importance and should be keenly watched. Which ever way this turns out, (peace agreement or collapsed talks), it will likely usher in many of the end-times prophecies concerning Israel and her belligerent neighbours.

This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'Because Edom took revenge on the house of Judah and became very guilty by doing so, therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will stretch out my hand against Edom and kill its men and their animals. I will lay it waste, and from Teman to Dedan they will fall by the sword. Ezekiel 25:12-13 NIV
But Egypt will be desolate, Edom a desert waste, because of violence done to the people of Judah , in whose land they shed innocent blood. Joel NIV

From the articles:
If substantial talks don't begin soon between Israel and the Palestinians, all parties will face "profound trouble," the Middle East Quartet's special representative warned Tuesday. "We are talking about weeks, rather than months, for this process now to be rehabilitated and put back on track," Tony Blair told CNN. "If we don't go back and give credibility to this process in a meaningful way... we are going to be in genuine and profound trouble."

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said that if the peace process continues to stagnate, he fears the nations of the region will become frustrated and no one knows what the results of such frustration might be, Israel Radio reported on Tuesday, citing an interview in Palestinian daily Al-Ayam. Abbas said in the interview that the US had not yet offered new suggestions on how to restart stalled peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

The prime minister was making a reference to the Arab League’s Khartoum Resolution of September 1, 1967, and its “Three No’s”: “no peace withIsrael , no recognition of Israel , no negotiations with it.” Netanyahu, who informed the MKs that White House senior adviser Dennis Ross was due back later this week, said the Palestinians had shown no willingness to compromise on either substantive or procedural issues. They have shown “no movement,” he said.
