A day or two ago, we had France making proposals that would jump-start negotiations in an attempt to resolve the Israel/Palestinian impasse. Now we have America and Russia looking to do the same.

Just as bible prophecy foretold, the nations of this world would find that the Israel and Jerusalem would become "burdensome stones" during these, the last days.

Israeli and Palestinian representatives have been holding separate talks in Washington, as part of an American effort to restart direct negotiations and thereby forestall a Palestinian bid to obtain unilateral UN recognition as a state in September, according to a source at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem.

The status of Jerusalem can be defined only after the borders between Israel and Palestine are demarcated and the refugee issue is resolved, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Sunday. "There will be no solution (to resolving the status of Jerusalem) without the border demarcation and the resolution of the refugee problem," Lavrov said.  Russia believes that West Jerusalem should belong to Israel while East Jerusalem should go to Palestinians while holy sites could be placed under international control, Lavrov said.
