Prophecy Sign: Events leading to the Prophetic war foretold in Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Obadiah and Jeremiah.
How things can change so quickly. Just a few short months ago, all was well along the border between Israel and Egypt . A peace had existed between the two former enemies for some 30 years. Under President, Hosni Mubarak, the Egyptian government ensured the rise of the Islamic Brotherhood was quelled and that any smuggling of arms into Hamas controlled Gaza didn't happen.
Fast forward a couple months and all of a sudden we have the Egyptians quickly being taken over by radical Islam under the Muslim Brotherhood, with calls to end the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel . Now reports indicate that borders are being opened between Gaza and Egypt which will undoubtedly lead to, as this article asserts, a "weapons highway". Israel is of course greatly concerned with these turns of events.
All these events are quickly leading to what many bible prophecy experts refer to as the Psalm 83 war. A war where an alliance of nations bordering Israel , (including Egypt ), will look to destroy Israel and reclaim what they call Palestine .
From the article:
Concerns in Israel over the change in government in Egypt are increasing as Egypt considers opening its Gaza border. Israel fears that doing so would open a door for weapons to start flowing into the Gaza Strip. Permanently opening the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza has become a stronger possibility for two reasons -- the resignation of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and the growing relationship between Hamas and Egypt 's new leadership.

Concern is growing in the government over Egyptian plans to open the Rafah crossing with the Gaza Strip, as ties between Cairo and Hamas tighten and the Egyptian people’s support for the peace treaty with Israel wanes. “We are troubled by recent developments concerning Egypt . We are troubled by the voices calling for the abrogation of the peace treaty. We are troubled by the rapprochement between Iran and Egypt , and we are troubled by the upgrading of the relationship between Egypt and Hamas,” a government official told The Jerusalem Post Saturday night.
