This world wide mass animal death phenomenon is just way to bizarre.  This story has driven thousands of visits to this web-blog alone, and became the top Google search trend as people look for answers.  But are there any answers?  Is this some sort of biblical prophecy fulfilled? 

The bible prophesies which relate to coming animal deaths, are to occur during the dark days of the Great Tribulation.  Since the Tribulation period hasn’t started yet, what is happening now is not prophecy fulfilled.  However that doesn't mean that God can't fire a shot across the collective bow of humanity in order to catch our attention.  As we previously said, this bizarre story has driven many, many people to sites like this to find something other than a secular answer to these events.  People, both secular and Christian, are noticing events beginning to happen; From the wild weather swings, to increased seismic activity to birds falling out of the sky.  If people are becoming a little worried and curious about these events, and begin to search out answers from the Bible, that is a good thing.  For the bible tells us this:

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.  Psalm 111:10 NIV

Doomsday believers got more signs of the apocalypse on Wednesday, as reports of mass animal deaths continued to emerge around the world.  Hundreds of dead birds were found on the streets in Murray, Kentucky, officials announced Wednesday, marking the second time this week that the state has made such a discovery. Earlier in the week, several dozen dead birds were found in Gilbertsville Kentucky, according to local station WPSD.

When the term "dead fish" became a top Google search Wednesday, soaring past the likes of Lindsay Lohan and leaving Justin Bieber in its scaly wake, it looked as if the end were near. That's what everyone was saying, anyway.  After millions of tiny fish went belly up in Chesapeake Bay this week, much of the populace immediately dismissed the official scientific explanation (the water was just too darn cold). What made more sense, they reasoned? The approaching apocalypse of course.

In either of those cases, the truth will almost certainly be hidden from public view. Scientists will be paid off to say it was caused by disease, and the corporate-controlled press will buy it, too. And that's what people will be told.
But I'm suspicious. When I see animals dying 100,000 at a time and birds falling out of the sky, I begin to suspect much more than just normal in-the-wild infectious disease. I suspect something far more nefarious is afoot, and whatever it is, you have to ask the inescapable question: Is this a trial run of a much larger experiment involving other species? Perhaps even humans?
