Top Ebola medical doctor dies of Ebola in Liberia.
According to WHO, a total of 546 health-care workers (HCWs) are known to have been infected with EVD up to the end of 2nd November, 2014, 310 of whom have died. Four HCWs were infected between 27 October and 2 November.

The current Ebola outbreak in West Africa began in Guinea in 2013. From there, it quickly spread to Liberia and Sierra Leone. Cases also appeared in Senegal and Nigeria, and there was another outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Today, Liberia is at the center of the epidemic, with more than 3,000 cases of infection. About half of them have been fatal.
