Is it any wonder why the world will be astonished and then cry out, peace, peace when a future world leader, (the Antichrist), will at last broker a peace deal between Israel and what the bible refers to as "the many"? Just reading through these articles, one can only come to the conclusion that peace might never come to this region, or would be an astonishing event if it ever did happened.

Israel in retaliation to the recent UESCO acceptance of the Palestinians into membership has decided to build 2,000 new housing units in East Jerusalem. Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamim Netanyahu, has said the Israelhas every right to build in its eternal capital, (something we agree with entirely). This of course has infuriated both the Palestinians and the Obama administration in America.

Nobody ever said it was going to be easy for the Antichrist to broker any peace agreements, just that it will happen and it will be for a seven year term.

He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing [of the temple] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him." Daniel 9:27 NIV

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's inner cabinet approved the construction of 2,000 new housing units in disputed areas, overnight Tuesday. The move follows UNESCO's decision this week to admit Palestinians into the world body's educational and cultural organization. The apartments will be built in Jerusalem and in two cities in biblical Judea and Samaria. That's the area many call the West Bank where Palestinians want a future state.  Israel will also freeze the transfer of tax revenues to the Palestinian Authority. Palestinian officials were furious at the decisions. They say it will bring an end to the peace process.

The Obama administration on Wednesday sharply criticized Israel's decision to accelerate settlement construction in east Jerusalem and the West Bank in retaliation for the Palestinians winning membership from the United Nation's cultural organization. White House spokesman Jay Carney said the Obama administration was "deeply disappointed" in the settlement decision.

This is our historical and national responsibility.” “We have the right to build in our eternal capital,” he asserted. “It is our right and responsibility for this generation and the next.”
