Prophecy Sign: Perilous times in the last days


How should we as Christians treat those people that are believers in Allah and hold to the Muslim faith? Like any other unsaved peoples. We love them and seek opportunities to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them in hopes they will come out of darkness and into the light of truth.

Unfortunately it is becoming quite difficult to feel the love when we read articles like these. When we read that fully 35% of Canadian Muslims refuse to repudiate Islamic terrorist groups like Al-Qaida, and that 62% want Shariah law in our nation, we can't help but feel threatened. And when other Islamic groups call for a jihad in Western nations and begin to bomb media outlets that they don't like, we become very wary of people that profess the so called religion of peace.

We thank God that currently in this country of Canadawe have a strong Conservative majority government that is very unlikely ever to consider implementing any form of Shariah law in our land.

In the meantime, we will pray that God gives us a heart for the Muslim people, while at the same time we will continue to stand up for the principals of law that make this country great and that do not make exception for any particular religious group.

A newly released survey suggests a large number of Muslims living in Canada will not disown Al-Qaida. The study, conducted by the MacDonald Laurier Institute, found 65% of Muslims questioned said they would “repudiate absolutely” the terrorist organization, while 35% would not do so. “From a security perspective, it is difficult to know if a 65% rate of repudiation (of Al-Qaida) is re-assuring or a 35% failure to repudiate troubling,” wrote study authors Christian Leuprecht, associate professor of the Royal Military College of Canada and Conrad Winn, Carleton University professor and president of COMPAS, a public opinion research firm.

The survey, which was released Tuesday, found 62% wanted some form of Shariah law in Canada, 15% of them saying it should be mandatory for all Muslims. The report also states support for extremism is just as high among Muslims born in Canada, or other Western countries, as it is among those hailing from oppressive dictatorships.

Speaking in English in a taped message broadcast over the Internet, the voice urged other young Muslims to "do jihad in America, do jihad in Canada, do jihad in England, anywhere in Europe, in Asia, in Africa, in China, in Australia. "Anywhere you find [unbelievers]," the voice continued, "fight them and be firm against them."
