Signs of the Times: Israel Under Siege

Prophecy Sign: The world will de-legitimize the
nation of Israel,
and she will stand alone at the end.

Nation
after nation are lining up behind the expected Palestinian bid for statehood at
the United Nations this September, (see China and El Salvador articles below).
This declaration will be in place of any actual negotiated borders between Israel
and the Palestinians.

In addition, protests and demonstrations are queuing up to
once again cast Israel as the bad guy in any hurdles that may be in place for
this new state of Palestine to be enshrined at the U.N.  Egyptians are planning a "Million-Man Anti-Israel
march, and an assortment of rabble rousers are planning a protest on the
streets of Jerusalem this Friday.

Israel is under siege, (as the video below attests), and the
de-legitimization of Israel is in full swing, with the calls going out to
replaced the Jewish state with a new state called Palestine with Jerusalem as
its capital.

All of this is exactly foretold in bible prophecy, as we are
told that Israel
will be left to itself, abandoned by even her current friends, (the bible says
all nations will eventually come against Israel).
The only friend that Israel
will have at the end is the Lord God Almighty, (we'd make that deal): What,
then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be
against us? Romans 8:31NIV

I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, Zechariah 14:2 NIV

On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. Zechariah 12:3 NIV

From the articles:

Israel is gearing up for what could be massive Palestinian protests in September, when the United Nations may move forward with the recognition of a Palestinian state. "The most immediate one is the decision of the Palestinian Authority to reject negotiations with Israel," former Israeli U.N. Ambassador Dore Gold told CBN News. Palestinians want the United Nations to accept them as a member state in September. Gold said they want to use mass demonstrations in the West Bank to challenge Israel.

China's Foreign Ministry said in a statement Thursday that Wu Sike, its special envoy on the Middle East, told Palestinian leaders in a meeting in Ramallah that Beijing and the Chinese people have always supported the Palestinian cause. The Foreign Ministry statement said Wu expressed understanding, respect and support for the Palestinians' bid for statehood.

Egyptian daily al-Youm al-Saba'a reported Wednesday that Egyptian protest organizers are calling for "a million-man protest" outside Israel's embassy in Cairo on Friday. The protesters, using Facebook and other social media venues, say the focus of the demonstration will be the demand to have the Israeli ambassador expelled from Egypt and Israel's embassy in the capital closed. Recalling an ambassador is considered a step towards the cessation of peaceful relations between countries in diplomatic circles.

Under the slogan “Knocking on Jerusalem’s Doors,” Palestinian, Israeli and international activists are planning to march to Jerusalem on Friday from four Israeli army-manned checkpoints separating the city from its West Bank environs, according to a press release. It said that the Olive Revolution, a popular non-violent movement defying the Israeli occupation, called for the march to protest Israeli closure of Jerusalem to Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza Strip, particularly those wishing to reach it to pray at Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City during the holy month of Ramadan. The march will also emphasize Jerusalem as the capital of the future Palestinian state.
