Prophecy Sign: The
Psalm 83 War approaches
Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 49 and
the book of Obadiah all allude to a war occurring sometime prior to the war to
end all wars, (Armageddon). This war would see an alliance of nations that
immediately border Israel, come against the Jewish state in an attempt to wipe Israel from existence. These nations or groups
would include Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, the Palestinians, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Jordan, (according to interpretation). Essentially
the same groups of nations that have, since 1948, attempted to wipe out Israel with no success. These same nations will
try once again, with disastrous results. Damascus will be destroyed, (Isaiah 17), Egypt will see devastation, (Ezekiel 29), and the
Israel Defence forces would see great victory, (Jeremiah/Obadiah).
It's likely that
this war would be the catalyst to the seven year agreement of peace, (Daniel
9), that a future world leader, (the Antichrist), would broker between a
victorious Israel and the rest of the world, (the many). These recent news articles
attest to the fact that this Arab/Muslim alliance is close at hand, with their
ultimate goal being the eradication of Israel and its replacement with a new Arab state
called Palestine.
O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not
stand aloof, O God. See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads.
With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you
cherish. “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s
name is remembered no more.” Psalm 83:1-4 NIV
“In that day,” declares the LORD, “will I not destroy the
wise men of Edom,
those of understanding in the mountains of Esau? Your warriors, Teman, will be
terrified, and everyone in Esau’s mountains will be cut down in the slaughter. Because
of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you
will be destroyed forever. Obadiah 8-10 NIV
From the articles:
The Palestinians' ultimate goal is not the establishment of a state in the 1967 borders. If it were, they would not have washed away Ehud Barak's Camp David offer and Yossi Beilin's subsequent "amendments" at Taba in a sea of blood and fire. If Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas were truly different from Yasser Arafat, as his Israeli fans like to claim, he would have seized on Ehud Olmert's map like a treasure. But Abbas' goal, and that of the Palestinians in general, is to cause Israel to disappear. Because Israel cannot be destroyed by force, as both conventional wars and terrorist wars have proved, they have embarked on a different sort of campaign: a global campaign (aided by more than a few Jews, both in Israel and abroad ) to undermine the Jewish people's right to sovereignty in its homeland. Meanwhile, they are avoiding all negotiations until this goal is achieved.

Hamas has repeated its past performance of declaring a ceasefire and immediately breaking it, firing more than a dozen more rockets and mortar shells on southern Israel Sunday night and Monday morning. One rocket in the pre-dawn hours hit a building in the Eshkol region, adjacent to Gaza, causing damage but no injuries. The Israeli Security Cabinet Monday morning stated that the ceasefire is one-sided and that the IDF will continue to attack to stop missile launches. It added that Israel will respond to any more rocket and mortar shell attacks with “pinpoint” retaliation.

Militants in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip bombarded southern Israel with rockets and mortars Sunday, striking an empty school and sending thousands of Israelis into bomb shelters, as Israel responded with airstrikes and diplomats scrambled to keep a new convulsion of Israeli-Palestinian violence from escalating. The latest round of hostilities was triggered Thursday by militants who launched an attack from Egyptian territory, ambushing Israeli cars and buses along the border and killing eight people. Israel says an armed Palestinian faction from Gaza was responsible.

As Israel grapples with its most serious diplomatic rift with Egypt in years, one of the clearest signs of the fragility of the relationship at the heart of Israeli-Arab peace efforts is the wide range of Egyptian political parties and leaders demanding that their government take a harsh line against Israel.
