Debt crisis: Is this the end for the euro?

Prophecy Sign: The emergence of a powerful European Superstate, from which the Antichrist will arise and the tentacles of world government will spread.

We have noted before of our belief that the present European Union will morph into a European Superstate from which the Antichrist will arise to power. The articles included with this post give more evidence of that contention.

The articles indicate that the Euro Zone is in big trouble with the potential of the end of the euro currency. Germany has now proposed the creation of a new European Union body that would have the powers to oversee all European Union members’ financial affairs. Having the power to "crack the whip" according to the article. This would indicate that due to the financial crisis that presently exists in the E.U., the European Union is being forced to come together into a much more consolidated unit, with sovereignty given over to a centralized power base.

One could see just how easy such a new economic power bloc would allow for the ascension of brilliant political and economic genius. (The Antichrist, foretold in the bible, is attributed with these talents and will rise out of the revived Roman Empire).

It's interesting to note that there exists within the European Union, a bloc of nations that have now been handed the power to be responsible for the financial affairs of the E.U. This group of nations which includes: Belgium,

France

Germany

Greece

Italy

Luxembourg

, the

Netherlands

Portugal

Spain

and the

United Kingdom

have been called "the Ten". Why is this interesting? Because bible prophecy tells us that 10 kingdoms will exist alongside the Antichrist when the coming new economic world order is implemented.

Many bible prophecy experts, including Hal Lindsey, believe that the 10 kingdoms that are written about in the books of Daniel and Revelation will be 10 nations from Western Europe. In the Hal Lindsey video below, Mr, Lindsey makes the case that this new WEU, (Western European Union), group called "the Ten", is in fact the 10 kingdoms of bible prophecy.

We find the Hal Lindsey video quite interesting and have no quarrels with his contention. However we still believe that the 10 kingdoms are future kingdoms to come, (see the link below called "the Club of Rome" for a world map showing the 10 global economic units that the Club of Rome laid out in the 1970's). We are of the opinion that this new 10 nation group called the Ten is just the beginning of the formulation of the European Superstate that will ultimately lead to the establishment of nine other similar economic world bodies that will be given future power to administer the economic affairs of the globe on a whole, (as per the Club of Rome).

When reading bible prophecy we are told that a last empire will rise out of the former Roman Empire. This empire will then multiply into 10 kingdoms devouring the whole earth. The Antichrist will rise up out of the European Superstate, take over the leadership of the E.U. and then proceed to devour two others of these new economic kingdoms. This may only be coincidence, but the book of Daniel foretells how the Antichrist will engage in battle with the King of the South and conquer him, and will then be troubled by news from the North and East (Daniel 11). If you look at the map from the Club of Rome link you will note that two of the designated economic regions are that of the Middle East, (South), and of Eastern Europe, (North/East). Might this be the future fulfillment of bible prophecy where we are told of the Antichrist taking control of 3 of the 10 kingdoms? (Western Europe, Eastern Europe and the Middle-East perhaps?).

Bible prophecy is being fulfilled before our eyes. Don’t blink as you might miss something.

“He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. Daniel 7:23-24 NIV

“The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast. Revelation 17:12-13 NIV

And at the time of the end the king of the South shall push at and attack him, and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots and horsemen and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries and shall overflow and pass through. Daniel 11:40 AMP

Germany has proposed the creation of a new EU 'overseer' that would crack the whip and impose sanctions on countries that do not adhere to rigid budget discipline and pro-business labour policies. The country's economy minister, Philipp Roesler, on Tuesday (10 August) told reporters that the bloc should create a new EU institution, a 'stability council', of unelected supervisors that would ensure member states that stick to budget temperance and limit debt and keep in check debt growth. This council should be given the power to slap sanctions on countries to ensure they cut their deficits and monitor use of financial assistance. The plans would also require that a German-style 'debt brake' be written into national constitutions.
