Prophecy Sign: The rise of the final prophetic empire, (the revived Roman empire), from which will arise the Antichrist.
Now how’s that for a headline? An integrated Europe not seen since the
Roman empire. Has the writer of this article studied bible prophecy? If not, he or she doesn't know how prophetic the words in that headline are.
Bible prophecy indicates that a final world empire will arise out of the ashes of the former
Roman Empire. This final empire would then span 10 regional economic powers, (the 10 Kingdoms of Daniel 7 and Revelation 17), that would control the economic and financial affairs of the entire globe. Implementing a program which would require every person on the planet to accept a "mark" that would allow them to participate in this economic system, (Revelation 13).
To see how fast this final empire is coming together boggles the mind. We are so close to the end of the Church age that we can almost hear the Shofar tuning up, (last trumpet). Are you ready?
Note: the reason we believe the final 10 kingdoms are global and not just regionally based in
Europe, (as is the historical prophecy viewpoint), is for an obvious reason. How can a regionally based economic union control the financial affairs of the entire planet? It makes more sense to suggest that the world will be subdivided into 10 economic regions which will work alongside a future world leader to implement a brand new global economic and financial model. In addition, the prophecy in Revelation 17 indicates that power will be given, (future tense), to these 10 kingdoms for a brief period of time - 7 years or less we presume. One could argue that the nations that presently make up the E.U. already have power. (We could be wrong, but we will stick by this interpretation and see what happens).

As the European debt crisis deepens, there are cries all over the EU for full economic integration in Europe. On Wednesday, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel sent a letter to European Council President Herman Van Rompuy which stated that they want a new "economic government" for Europe to be formed. According to the letter, Sarkozy and Merkel want the leaders of the eurozone countries to "elect" a president for the new "economic government". The idea would be that the president would hold twice-yearly summits to address the debt problems that Europe is facing right now. But many pro-EU critics are already howling that Sarkozy and Merkel have not gone nearly far enough. A whole lot of "experts" in Europe are proclaiming that without full economic integration and the creation of "eurobonds", Europe is doomed.
