Geithner says hard times to continue for many

Prophecy Sign:  The exclusion of America, (and the rest of the Western World), from end-times bible prophecy

So where are America and the West in bible prophecy?  They aren’t.  Clearly there must be reasons for this. Consider what would happen to the Western world if millions of Christians were caught up with Christ at the time of the Rapture?  Chaos.  Already the American economy is very sick, (see articles below), but with the sudden disappearance of millions of taxpaying citizens, the economies of the west would be in shambles.  Not to mention a decimated military, and the potential for a besieged group of first responders, (police, fire, ambulance), that will be frantically responding to all manner of calls after this super-natural event.

Needless to say, the Western world will be turned inward to solve their many internal problems before they begin to turn outwards again to face the calamities of the Tribulation period.

The articles below are heartbreaking.  To think how our friends and allies in America have fallen.  While very sad, this type of news is not unexpected to those of us who believe we are at the very end of this dispensation. We recognize that America and the West are non-existent in end-times prophecy, and can now see the events that are leading up to the reasons why.

We pray for you America.  And things can be turned around, but requires a collective repentance from the whole nation before God can heal your land.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

From the articles:
Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner (GYT'-nur) says many Americans will face hard times for a long time to come. He says President Barack Obama rescued the United States from a second Great Depression and will keep working to strengthen the economy. But Geithner says will be some time before many people feel like the country is recovering. Geithner tells NBC's "Meet the Press" that it's a very tough economy. He says that for a lot of people "it's going to feel very hard, harder than anything they've experienced in their lifetime now, for a long time to come."

Economic despair is beginning to spread rapidly in America.  As you read this, there are millions of American families that are just barely hanging on by their fingernails.  For a growing number of Americans, it has become an all-out battle just to be able to afford to sleep under a roof and put a little bit of food on the table.  Sadly, there are more people than ever that are losing that battle.

Millions of Americans endured financial calamities in the recession. But for many in the black community, job loss has knocked them out of the middle class and back into poverty. And some experts warn of a historic reversal of hard-won economic gains that took black people decades to achieve. “History is going to say the black middle class was decimated” over the past few years, said Maya Wiley, director of the Center for Social Inclusion.

While the mainstream media has all but convinced most Americans that the nation is slowly climbing out of the "recession," new statistics released by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) suggest otherwise. According to just-released participation numbers for the agency's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), known more commonly as "food stamps," nearly one in six Americans now participates in the program, which represents a new record high.
