The Greek crisis brings us even closer to the long-planned European empire

Prophecy Sign: The emergence of the Revived Roman Empire, from which, the Antichrist will arise and the tentacles of his global rule will spread.

We have warned for several months that the current economic situation in the European Union may be the catalyst to a renewal and reconstruction of the present E.U. into a more consolidated European Super-State. This Super-State will require each of its members to give up even more of their individual economic and financial sovereignties.

From this new super-power, would come the future world leader known to us simply as the Antichrist. He would impose a new financial world order under the watchful eyes of 10 new economic regional overseers.

“He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. Daniel 7:23-24 NIV

“The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast. Revelation 17:12-13 NIV

It would be very easy to think that current events in Greeceare just a continuation of that same problem. That would be to misunderstand the grand strategy being pursued in Brussels. It is designed to achieve, without recourse to war, the realization of a dream unfulfilled since the fall of Rome, the first pan-European Empire. Spain, France and Austro Hungaryfailed in their attempts to build such an Empire and after yet another destructive European war, the founding fathers of the EU swore to achieve through politics what warfare had failed to deliver. The creation of a common, or to be correct, sole currency, the euro, was not an end in itself, but a weapon to achieve by economic means, a European government. It was about politics, not economics.

Optimists in the EU try to convince themselves that something good could come from the crisis – meaning more economic integration and harmonisation of taxes – steps towards the single EU economy of which Prodi dreamed. One of the arguments the commission deploys to calm anxiety is to make out that Europe is no stranger to crises – indeed, it says, it has always thrived on them.
Mark Gray, a spokesman for Barroso, said: "The temptation is to look back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles. But there were always peaks and troughs." He points to the queue of countries wanting to join the EU and the euro as evidence that they are more relevant than ever in a globalised world. Corbett believes that Europecould even emerge stronger. "That is what we hope will happen," he says. "But you don't hear much about that in the British press."
