Chinese President Calls for Global Governance

Prophecy Sign:  Global governance, with China, (the Kings of the East), and Russia, (Magog - the northern most regions), to play major roles in end-times prophecy.

The nations of the world are calling for the establishment of a "New World Order", and global governance.  From Iran to Venezuela, from China to Russia.  Calls are going out to throw out the present economic system of the world and replacing it with a new global political/financial system.

Bible prophecy tells us that not only will a future world leader step to the scene, seemingly with all the answers to the worlds problems, and establish a system of global governance, but there will be some new and powerful political/military powers at the end of days.  The bible foretells of an immense army of some 200 million soldiers from the East, which will march on the Holy Land at the time of the end, (Revelation 9, 16 ).  In addition, the bible also informs us that an alliance of nations, headed up by a ruler from the Land of Magog, (which most bible prophecy experts peg as present day Russia), will also march on the Holy Land, (Ezekiel 38/39).  We don't believe these two armies will march towards Israel at the same time, but will be two separate battles....Gog/Magog and Armageddon.

Calls for world government.  The emergence of a super-power from the east, that being China.  The re-emergence of Russia as a world power after years of disarray.  It would appear things are lining up very quickly for the fulfillment of future bible prophecy.

The world financial system needs reforming and economic management should be bolstered in order to be able to face modern challenges, Chinese President Hu Jintao has said addressing the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.  In a major speech at the “Russian Davos” on Friday, the Chinese leader said that the global financial crisis has not only hit economies of different states, but has also revealed “how flawed the modern international system is.” It showed how “poorly today’s economic management institutions are prepared to respond to crisis,” he stated. Beijing is devoted to actively participate in both discussing and solving important world economic problems and, together with partners, to counter the today’s challenges.
