Prophecy Sign:  Egypt to undergo radical change

The book of Isaiah, (chapter 19), foretold of a coming time when Egypt would see civil unrest which would ultimately lead to a "Fierce Leader" rising to power to rule the nation of EgyptEgypt is also foretold in both the book of Psalms, (chapter 83), and Ezekiel, (chapter 29), to become involved in a war with Israel and to suffer much devastation, (perhaps by that of a nuclear weapon).

Recent news articles indicate that Egypt is slowly coming under the grips of radical Islam, with the hatred of Israel becoming ever more evident.

“I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian— brother will fight against brother, neighbour against neighbour, city against city, kingdom against kingdom.” Isaiah 19:2 NIV

“I will hand the Egyptians over to the power of a cruel master, and a fierce king will rule over them,” declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty. Isaiah 19:4 NIV

From the articles:

A group of Egyptian political activists have announced plans to set up a local version “of the Nazi party,” an Egyptian newspaper reported on Thursday. Citing a leftist Egyptian news portal, the Al-Masry Al-Youm daily said that “the party’s founding deputy is a former military official,” and that the party would be aimed at bringing “together prominent figures from the Egyptian society.”

Egyptian Islamists are discarding their traditional long robes and large white caps – the outwards signs of extreme piety – in favor of business suits and campaign buttons as one-time jihadists began throwing their hats into the country’s political ring this week. While the Muslim Brotherhood and its political offshoot, the Freedom and Justice Party, has attracted the most attention and fear among Egyptian liberals, the Islamic end of the political spectrum is growing crowded with fringe movements announcing bids to run in the parliamentary elections come September.
"The situation is extremely dangerous,"
Nagib Gibra'il, a Christian lawyer and head of the Egyptian Union of Human Rights Organization, told The Media Line. "According to polls, Islamist parties will receive more than 50 percent of the votes in the elections and form the next government. This will jeopardize the revolution and the country itself."
