PA: State will be ready by September

Prophecy Sign:  Further dividing of the land which God has given to the Jewish people as an eternal inheritance

This coming September is looking to be a pivotal month with regards to bible prophecy.  The world has every intention of declaring a new state called Palestine based on the per-1967 borders.  That was the year that Israel in the 6 day war, took control of the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Sinai, the Golan Heights and of course, East Jerusalem.  Subsequent to that, Israel has given back the Sinai to Egypt and the Gaza Strip is now governed by Palestinian Hamas.  The quartet, (U.N., E.U., Russia, and America) wants more.  The Golan Heights are to be given back to Syria, and the West Bank and East Jerusalem are to be the new Palestinian State, along with the Gaza Strip.

We, as well as others, (see recent previous blog entries), have warned that this declaration will ultimately lead to war, perhaps that which is described in Psalm 83.  We also have warned that dividing the Holy Land will only bring judgment from God onto the nations that participate in this land splitting.

In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. Joel 3:1-2 NIV

The Palestinian Authority's Minister of Planning and Development announced Monday the government's "national readiness to establish an independent Palestinian state during September." Minister Ali Al-Jerbawi said the announcement came in line with the successful implementation of the 13th government's plan, "Ending the Occupation, Establishing a State," put out by the now caretaker Prime Minister Salam Fayyad in August 2009.

The Palestinians are ready for statehood, according to a report to be presented to major aid donor countries in Brussels this week by Prime Minister Salam Fayyad. He will present facts and figures to show how his Palestinian Authority has used hundreds of millions of dollars in foreign assistance over the past two years to create justice, education, energy, health, water, security and housing services. "I believe that our governing institutions have now reached a high state of readiness to assume all the responsibilities that will come with full sovereignty on the entire Palestinian occupied territory," Fayyad says in the 63-page document. But he underlines that unless Israel's military occupation comes to an end, these accomplishments can only achieve so much.
