Prophecy Sign: The neighbouring Arab states and people groups surrounding Israel will align together.
The series of articles we have linked to for this blog entry have a whole lot of prophetic implications when it comes to future alliances and war withIsrael . It would seem that the two Palestinian groups that rule the West Bank and the Gaza Strip have decided to kiss and make up. This, after a civil war between the two that saw many Palestinians killed. Seems as well that this little peace treaty was brokered by the new, (and more hostile to Israel ), leaders of Egypt . Then we have the Iranian government who are pleased as punch with this little deal feeling that it will once and for all force out the "ruthless occupiers" from Palestine . In fact the Palestinians are happy to send the Iranians a new map of the Middle East that shows no Israel but a new nation called Palestine .
MeanwhileIsrael has said that in no way will it negotiate a peace treaty with this new reconciled Palestinian government. Can you blame them? This is Hamas we are talking about; A sworn enemy of Israel that has spent the last several years lobbing missiles at Israel , whose mandate is the elimination of the nation of Israel .
Are we fast approaching the prophetic war described in Psalm 83? It would sure seem so, and given the number of news article that we have seen in the last several weeks, many geo-political observers are convinced war is coming as well. We can only say one thing: Pray for the peace ofIsrael and Jerusalem .

From the articles:
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement hammered an historic reconciliation deal with the rival Hamas group on Wednesday, agreeing to form an interim government and fix a date for general election within the year. The deal, which took many officials by surprise, was thrashed out in Egypt and followed a series of secret meetings.
Abbas has been making a heavy push for reconciliation with Hamas, with which it held a unity government that collapsed during a five-day civil war in 2007 and ended with the Islamic militant group seizing power in the Gaza Strip. Fatah had already signed the reconciliation agreement in October 2009, but Hamas had until now refused to give up on demands it had set before the rival group.

The unity agreement between Hamas and Fatah is a "blessed, positive move," Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi said Thursday according to the IRNA news agency. Salehi said the move was "in line with the Palestinian nation's historic objectives" and also praised the new Egyptian government's role in mediating between the two factions. Salehi also said he hoped that the reconciliation agreement would "lead to acceleration of the developments in the Palestine region and to acquiring great victories in confrontations with the ruthless occupiers."

Israeli officials have criticised a reconciliation deal between rival Palestinian factions, Fatah and Hamas. The foreign minister, Avigdor Lieberman warned that Israel would not negotiate with the new unity government. The US also responded coolly, saying the government that resulted must recognise Israel and renounce violence. Under the agreement brokered in Egypt on Wednesday, an interim Palestinian government will be formed and a date fixed for elections.

The Palestinian Authority has carried out Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s threat to “wipe Israel off the map” and literally has done so by displaying maps of “Palestine ” covering all of Israel at the same time its leaders talk about “two states for two people.” PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, head of the Fatah movement that controls the PA in Judea and Samaria , has in effect established a “one-state” solution in Fatah offices and in Palestinian Authority schools and offices.
