World faces ‘epochal’ change equivalent to that of 1989: UN chief

So just how clueless are they at the United Nations?  You don't have to answer that, we already know.  So the U.N. Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon thinks it's grrreeeat what is happening in the countries of the middle-east.  All these wonderful pro-democracy movements will now usher in a great shift in global history. Oh they will, but not the kind of wonderful utopia that Ban Ki-moon and his ilk are shooting for.

Instead we have Al Queda all in a twitter over the prospects of wide open doors for them to walk through and establish their own idea of utopia.  A radical, Islamic Caliphate that will work to remove the Jewish state and to tame the Great Satan, (that being America), and the rest of us infidels.

We will say it again; bible prophecy warns that at the time of the end, a Southern based coalition of nations will arise under a King known as the King of the South, (south of course referring to their location with regards to Israel).  See Daniel 11:40

From the news articles:
The world is facing an important shift in global history which is “no less transformative” than the “epochal” year of 1989, when numerous governments fell across Eastern Europe, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said. Ban noted that the world is witnessing a period of revolution. He recently returned from a visit to Egypt and Tunisia, where long-standing regimes were toppled by a wave of pro-democracy protests that have engulfed much of North Africa and the Middle East, and have led to fierce fighting in Libya"Revolutionary change is sweeping the Arab world, with repercussions that will be felt everywhere and by all,” he said. “We face no less epochal change in other spheres – from climate change to fighting global poverty to advancing human rights.”

Al Qaeda's most influential English-language preacher said revolts sweeping the Arab world would help rather than harm its cause by giving Islamists freed from tyranny greater scope to speak out. Al Qaeda preacher Anwar al-Awlaki, in an article published online on Tuesday, said the removal of anti-Islamist autocrats meant Islamic fighters and scholars were now freer to discuss and organize. "Our mujahideen brothers in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and the rest of the Muslim world will get a chance to breathe again after three decades of suffocation," he wrote, using a term that refers generally to Islamic guerrilla groups or holy warriors.
