Wholesale prices up 1.6 pct. on steep rise in food

Yet another sign we are entering the prophesied time of the end.  Food prices becoming ever more expensive, not just because of inflation, but because of civil unrest in oil producing nations, and from natural calamities occurring throughout the world.

We keep repeating for you the prophecy of Revelation 6:6, but bears repeating.  A time is coming when food will cost an arm and a leg to purchase.  Others will not even have that option, as they will simply not be able to afford the cost of food.

It's interesting to note that in that same prophecy, the cost of non-food items won't be affected in their pricing.

Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!” Revelation 6:6 NIV

From the news article:

Wholesale prices jumped last month by the most in nearly two years due to higher energy costs and the steepest rise in food prices in 36 years. Excluding those volatile categories, inflation was tame.

Food prices soared 3.9 percent last month, the biggest gain since November 1974. Most of that increase was due to a sharp rise in vegetable costs, which increased nearly 50 percent. That was the most in almost a year. Meat and dairy products also rose.
