We are not sure just what the global religious system of the Tribulation will be. Is it some sort of ecumenical gathering of all the worlds religions under one banner? This is the hope of men like Tony Blair and other new world order proponents, in their quest to create a utopian society. Revelation 17 seems to have a lot of imagery that implies a false religious system based on the roots of Catholicism.
However, there are others that think this religious system will be Islamic dominated. A radicalized Muslim religious Caliphate that will have no room for Jews and Tribulation Saints alike. Given that we are told in Revelation that the favourite means of dispatching Jews and Saints during the Tribulation will be by beheading, and beheading is a favourite tool of Islam, perhaps there is some merit to such an interpretation.
Which ever way it goes, there are already many signs of holy wars, as attacks by Muslims on minority Christians enclaves within their midst is growing more and more every day. We ask that you please pray for our Christian brethren who live under constant threat of persecution in the Muslim world.

A mob of nearly four thousand Muslims has attacked Coptic homes this evening in the village of Soul, Atfif in Helwan Governorate, 30 kilometers from Cairo, and torched the Church of St. Mina and St. George.
