Netanyahu: Weapons on seized ship came from Iran through Syria

Many bible prophecy observers see several major, middle-east based wars referred to in bible prophecy.  A war featuring the bordering Arab neighbors of Israel against the Jewish state, (Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Obadiah), a war featuring a confederation of nations from both south of Israel and north of Israel, which will include a nation from the northern most parts - Russia perhaps, (Ezekiel 38 & 39), and finally the war of all wars, the Battle of Armageddon, which will include all nations and be fought in the Holy Land.

Many of these prophecy experts are coming to the conclusion that we are rapidly heading towards the first of these battles, the so called Psalm 83 war.  We already have Israel surrounded by the likes of Syria, Hezbollah, Hamas and the Palestinians, all with desires to rid the middle-east of the Jewish State.  Now with the civil unrest occurring throughout the mid-east, we could have Egypt and Jordan become more radicalized and tear up the peace treaties they have with Israel, and join the bordering enemies of Israel in any war.

Then of course we have the provocateur, Iran, which works hand in hand with many of these states, (Syria in particular), in loading up the enemies of Israel with military armaments.  Time is short.  War is approaching.  Please pray for peace.

Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that the weapons seized from a ship earlier in the day were from Iran, the newspaper Haaretz reported. "We are currently collecting information and the one thing that is certain is that the weapons are from Iran with a relay station in Syria," Netanyahu said.

Turkey ordered a cargo plane allegedly carrying arms from Iran to Syria to land at a Turkish airport on Wednesday, the Istanbul-based Dogan News Agency reported. The plane, which allegedly contained weapons connected to Iran's nuclear program, was forced to landed in the city of Diyarbakir.

The Israeli Navy's elite Shayetet 13 commandos intercepted the German-owned A.S. Victoria Tuesday, March 15 about 320 kilometers off Israel's Mediterranean coast on its way from the Turkish port of Mercin to Egyptian El Arish with Alexandria its final destination. The Liberian-flagged vessel was carrying a large consignment of weapons including C-704 shore-to-ship missiles with a range of 35 kilometers and heavy mortars shells bound for the Palestinian Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
