Fears Egypt vote to benefit Islamists

We have in previous blog entries, noted that both Tunisia and Libya have groups that are calling for the establishment of Islamic states under the rule of Shariah law in their respective countries.  Many observers were concerned that the same fate would be the future of Egypt after their revolution swept away the Mubarack regime. Now comes evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood, are very much influencing events in Egypt to press for their dream of an Islamic, anti-Israel government in Egypt.

It's our belief that the North African Muslim nations that are now in the throws of revolution will eventually form a confederacy, (perhaps a Caliphate), which will be the prophesied Kingdom of the South that the prophet Daniel wrote about in the latter portion of chapter 11 of the book of Daniel.

“At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Egypt's first exercise in democracy in decades was hailed as a success Monday, but the result of a key referendum has raised fears in some quarters that Islamists will hijack looming elections.

"The referendum, while it was free of fraud, was not free of 'influence', especially by the Muslim Brotherhood and the religious trend in general," wrote Suleiman Gouda in the independent daily Al-Masry Al-Youm. "The mosques were used by these groups to influence the voters," he said.
