U.S. criticizes Israel over Jerusalem settlement

The United States has long been Israel’s greatest ally and friend, and because of that, America has been a very blessed nation over the years.  However, in the last couple of years cracks are showing in both the relationship the American administration under President Barck Obama has with Israel, and the seemingly gradual decline in America’s blessings from God.

Is it a coincidence that while America has been strugling under a very lethargic economy, high unemployment, severe debt concerns, and a move away from the American greenback as the world’s reserve currency, the Obama administration has been hard at work attempting to split the holy land further into a two state solution?  We think it is more than a coincidence and in fact a judgment from God.

At the same time American/Israel relations are at an all time low, Canadian/Israel relations have never been so good.  In fact, many observers, (Joel Rosenberg included), have declared that Prime Minister Steven Harper is Israel’s best friend these days.  And coincidentally, the economy in Canada has been one of the best performing in the world in the last couple of years.  Unemployment is a full 2 points lower than the United States, the Canadian dollar is above par with the greenback, and corporate taxes have been lowered to levels that are among the lowest in the world.  Canada has an abundance of oil and natural gas putting it in an enviable situation compared to America and its reliance on foreign crude oil and natural gas.

America needs to wake up and realize that to be a friend and ally of Israel, brings with it Gods blessings.  However to be any enemy or at the very least, just another nation intent on dividing the land, will bring Gods curse.  Is it any wonder that the Madrid fault line that divides America is seemingly coming to life?  Split Gods land and see what happens to yours.

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. Genesis 12:3 NIV

From the articles:
Construction at the Shepherd Hotel compound, whose ownership is contested, was likely to deepen Israeli-Palestinian acrimony as Washington tries to revive peace talks. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in Abu Dhabi on a tour of U.S. Gulf Arab allies, said: "This disturbing development undermines peace efforts to achieve the two-state solution. In particular, this move contradicts the logic of a reasonable and necessary agreement between the parties on the status of Jerusalem."

Israel is shocked by international criticism of the demolition of a Jewish-owned property in Jerusalem. Calling Jerusalem a settlement is a misinterpretation, an insult to the history of the city," Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor told the French news agency AFP. "It is incomprehensible that they are mixing questions of private rights, international law and politics," he added. He was reacting to European Union and American condemnation of Israel for Sunday’s demolition of the old and unused Shepherd Hotel.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton joined international criticism against the Israeli demolition on Sunday of a historic but derelict hotel in eastern Jerusalem. She said tearing down the Shepherd Hotel was a "disturbing development" that undermines efforts to achieve a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
