Operation Mockingbird was a secret Central Intelligence Agency campaign to influence domestic and foreign media beginning in the 1950s.

CIA CONTROLS THE MEDIA

Operation Mockingbird, the CIA's long term effort to control the news, has shifted into overdrive. On July 2, a little noticed "reform" passed in January went into effect. The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012, passed as part of the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act, allows the CIA to flood America with more government propaganda. Wasn't the original charter of the CIA to focus only on foreign enemies? Why are they now focused on Americans? 

The CIA was supposedly set up to deal only with FOREIGN Cold War and terrorist threats, but it's mission has now changed to operate against US citizens, inside the USA. If the CIA is now operating inside the US, what role do the other 18 intelligence agencies and FBI have?

The Homeland Security Agency is starting to look more and more like the Nazi propaganda machine in Nazi Germany, with a military industrial complex that has global conquest ambitions behind it, and suppression of the truth in the mass media within the USA. What is the take away?

Without effective oversight, small groups such as the 1% that can grab and hold absolute dark power will do it, just because they can. The US spends more money on its military than the rest of the world combined. With the world’s top 10 military powers spending a total of $1.19 trillion in military funding in 2011, a whopping 58 percent of that total came from the US expense on its military.

Without effective checks and balances, the CIA and the 1% can become worse than the Stazi, the Nazi SS, or the goon squads of fascist dictators. As US citizens, it is every person's duty to defend freedom and guard against this kind of absolute secrecy, corruption and debasing of democracy, where the rot inside of the country is capable of taking out it's own leader and controlling the mass media, among other things.
