BREAKING NEWS: This is an email from the EPA to air quality districts that were supposed to monitor air for radiation fallout in 2011 from Fukushima. This was obtained with a Freedom of Information Act request by University of California Santa Cruz lecturer Dan Hirsch who has been a radiation expert for over 40 years. The highlighted sentence says, "EPA HQ has decided at this time to not deploy the deployable RADNET monitors to CA, OR and WA."

So at the height of the emergency the central coast, the very spot where the radioactive plume was supposed to hit, the EPA had no working monitors for the air quality in Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Luis Obispo or Santa Barbara counties. Why?

But in the case of Fukushima, in March and April 2011, at the height of the Fukushima emergency, the pro-nuclear Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the pro-nuclear Department of Energy (DOE) stepped in and told the EPA; we'll take things from here. Why was that?? That needs to be investigated. Why was the role of the EPA usurped like that? This is the same dynamic going on between the IAEA and the World Health Organization.
So we really have no clue how much radiation was in the air on the central coast in the days and weeks after the Fukushima accident thanks to the government's purposeful coverup. DID THE NUCLEAR LOVING NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND THE NUCLEAR LOVING DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY SUGGEST TO THE EPA THAT THEY DO THIS??? After all, they were running the show at the time.
A Congressional investigation needs to be launched to find out. Hirsch said we do know from a monitor in Bakersfield, before it 'broke' in mid-march, that radiation in air was spiking up.
WHOSE IDEA WAS IT TO NOT MONITOR THE AREAS THAT PROJECTIONS WERE SAYING WOULD BE HARDEST HIT BY THE NUCLEAR PLUME? WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO KNOW?
Knowing what was coming, maybe somebody's thinking was, if we don't monitor the nuclear poison, then the pro nuclear folks can say it doesn't exist, or nothing bad happened. Wouldn't you agree that if this is what happened, whoever came up with that plan needs to be held accountable?
SUMMARY
1. Evidence above of the EPA turning off radiation monitors in areas where predictions of jet streams coming into the US indicated that plumes of radiation from Fukushima were going to be the highest and worst. (The EPA said those monitors 'broke'.)
2. The EPA did not deploy mobile units to those same areas, where they claim that the radiation monitors 'broke', thus leaving whole areas with no data on what came from Fukushima. Thus, they have no idea what people were breathing in, in the very WORST areas, at the very worst and highest radiation times.
3. The EPA, the US government and the nuclear regulators never warned anyone of what was coming. They denied it would cause any harm and told no one to take preventative radioactive iodine tablets, which could have saved many children from having thyroid problems and cancers. They could have prevented many or most of the 50,000 additional infant deaths that happened in the first months following 3/11.

4. Neither the EPA, the NRC nor any of the dozens of nuclear plants across the US made public any of the radiation readings that all of the nuclear plants across the country received from the Fukushima radiation plume. They all KNOW what came over the USA. But they are NOT disclosing what they know. They cannot just shut off all of those radiation monitors that surround every nuclear plant, and there is no way that all of them had 'broken' radiation monitors. Then we also the dozens of nuclear labs that also have very sophisticated radiation monitors. What were they doing after 3/11?
5. Finally, the EPA 'censored' or scrubbed/delted beta radiation data all across the US after Fukushima, per the video above, to minimize the amount of radiation that was detected coming to the US from Fukushima, to make it all look 'better'.

The NRC was captured from the start, although there have been people of conscience on its commission who have voiced concerns with radiation safety in America. These people are typically forced out. The EPA used to adopt a more precautionary approach to radiation than other US agencies. The FDA is probably the worst historically.
Now the EPA leadership has altogether gone over to the dark side. Gina McCarthy used to be in charge of the Radiation Division of the EPA. She is now running the entire EPA DESPITE the fact that the EPA's Inspector General concluded that the Radnet System contract was poorly designed and implemented under her watch, leading to system failure during the Fukushima crisis.
