The chart above shows that the number of birds declines as the amount of background radiation increases, both at Chernobyl and at Fukushima.
The next chart shows how as the radiation increases, the number of birds decreases, but so does the number of species.
Contrary to government and pro nuclear apologists, there is now plenty of evidence that low dose radiation does have an effect on insects, animals, plants and human beings. This same graph could be repeated for different sea creatures as well, but no one is studying that..
Just curious, but could you think of a reason why the nuclear industry would not want to know what happens to ocean creatures that are exposed to low dose radiation, and why they are NOT funding any studies in that direction either after Chernobyl or after Fukushima?
