Prophecy Sign: The Gog/Magog war - Iran, (Persia), one of the key combatants


We can't say whether the current focus on Iranand her nuclear ambitions will ultimately lead to the Gog/Magog war prophesied in the book of Ezekiel. However we can say for sure that Iranwill continue to be a major focus for those of us that follow bible prophecy, as Iran, (Persia), will be a key player in end-times events.

The Prophet Ezekiel warned that a battle would be fought in the last days which would feature an alliance of nations, (including Iran), that would come against Israelin an attempt to destroy the Jewish state and take her wealth. It's our belief that what we are now seeing with regards to Iranand the threats of a unilateral Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear installations will be the catalyst for a series of wars. We expect that any attack on Iranwill see Iran’s' proxies, (Hezbollah and a Hamas rival group in Gaza), launch attacks on Israel. This could then develop into the full-scale Psalm 83 war as Syria, Egypt, Lebanonand the Palestinians join the fray in order to drive the Israelis out of Palestine.

The bible indicates that the aftermath of the Psalm 83 war will see the destruction of Damascus, (Isaiah 17), and the destruction of Egypt, (Ezekiel 29). The Gog/Magog battle may then quickly follow as the remaining Muslim Middle-Eastern states, along with their benefactor, Russia, come against Israelin retaliation.

This of course is just conjecture on our parts as we don't know for sure the coming chronology of events that will play out for these various wars.  We just know that bible prophecy say they will happen, and we believe they will happen soon.

I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land. The UN's atomic watchdog is planning to reveal evidence that Iran has been working secretly to develop a nuclear weapons capability, diplomats say. The evidence is said to include intelligence that Iran made computer models of a nuclear warhead. Iranian officials say the International Atomic Energy Agency report, due next week, is a fabrication. Israeli officials have said a military option to prevent Iran from gaining nuclear weapons is drawing nearer.
