Hizbullah preparing missile war on Israel as Iran braces for attack

Prophecy Sign:  The coming Psalm 83 war

We have another blog entry today which explains our belief that any Iran confrontation may well be the catalyst to the Psalm 83 war.  Both these articles indicate that Iranian trained and sponsored proxies, Hezbollah in Lebanon and a Hamas rival group in the Gaza strip are preparing for all out war with Israel.  Should both these groups simultaneously attack Israel, it's likely that the Palestinians, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt may join in with the goal of once and for all destroying the Jewish state and replacing it with a new Arab state called Palestine.

See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads. With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish. “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.” Psalm 83:2-4 NIV

From the articles:
The Iranian-sponsored Hizbullah is planning for war with Israel, a report said. The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs asserted that Hizbullah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah, in coordination with Teheran, has been meeting senior commanders to plan for war with the Jewish state. The center, in a report by Shimon Shapira, said Nasrallah has ordered his commanders to prepare for long-range missile attacks that would target Tel Aviv and other major Israeli cities. “Nasrallah’s recent escalation of public statements stems from heightened fear in Hizbullah that an Israeli and/or American attack on Iran is drawing nearer,” the report said. “As a strategic arm of Iran, Hizbullah sees itself as Iran’s first line of defense against Israel.”

Hamas’ rival Islamic Jihad has built an 8,000-man army supported by Iran and “ready for martyrdom or victory.”  “Martyrdom is the more desirable," it says.  Its estimate of the number of terrorists trained for war against Israelis the first time Islamic Jihad has disclosed how many fighters it has. "We are proud and honored to say that the Islamic Republic of Iran gives us support and help," Abu Ahmed, the spokesman for Islamic Jihad's al-Quds Brigades told Reuters in a rare interview.
