Palestinians planning 'massive' diplomatic push for state recognition

Prophecy Sign:  The world will continue to push for the further division of the Holy Land and Jerusalem

The world continues to push for that elusive formula that will, in their minds, solve once and for all the Palestinian/Israel problem. Good luck with that.

In the meantime, the governments of the world are working feverishly to carve up the Holy Land and Jerusalem and give pieces over to the Palestinians. A people who according to a recent poll, would be more than happy to go to war with Israel to acquiring all the land that they consider to be Palestine, (which of course is present day Israel). Just how can you negotiate with that kind of thinking?

Good thing God almighty has a notebook and has been diligently keeping notes on the ongoing situation. He will use those notes to judge the nations for what they have done and are still doing to the land he gave the Jewish people as an eternal inheritance.

“In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land”. Joel 3:1-2 NIV
From the articles:
The Palestinian Authority is planning a massive diplomatic campaign to gain recognition of statehood from both the United Nations as well as individual countries, Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erekat said on Sunday, according to a report by Ma’an News Agency. Erekat explained that the PA had a two-prong goal: "First gaining recognition of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital, secondly gaining membership as a state in the UN."

Norway views Palestinian efforts to gain U.N. recognition of statehood as "legitimate" but isn't ready to declare its support for an independent Palestinian state just yet. That was Norway's message to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday as he visited the Scandinavian country, a major donor to the Palestinians. Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere said Norway wants to see the text of a resolution the Palestinians plan to present to the U.N. in September before committing its support. "Norway will carefully and in close consultation with the Palestinian side consider the text in the next couple of weeks," Stoere said after signing an agreement with Abbas to upgrade the Palestinian diplomatic representation in Norway.

The result of the Palestinian Authority's bid to win international recognition for a Palestinian state at the UN in September is likely to be war with Israel. That according to a survey of Palestinian Arabs conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Opinion this week. While most Palestinians do not believe the motion on an independent Palestinian state will pass in both the General Assembly and the Security Council, if it does, they have very specific and violent ideas about what should happen next. If the UN recognizes Palestine, 76 percent of Palestinian Arabs said their security forces must immediately exert control over all of Judea, Samaria and the eastern half of Jerusalem, even at the risk of open warfare with the Israeli army.
