End-times bible prophecy is rife with warnings of wars that will be fought throughout the world with millions perishing. We are not told just what will be the catalyst to these conflicts. Perhaps as this article suggestions, the shortage of water may become one of the reasons for nations to rise against nations.
And as this world continues to reject the true living God of this Universe and his son Jesus Christ, judgements will fall upon this world. One of those judgments being the drying up of the water supplies.
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. Matthew 24:6-7 NIV
I will lay waste the mountains and hills and dry up all their vegetation; I will turn rivers into islands and dry up the pools. Isaiah 42:15 NIV
From the article:
As global warming alters weather patterns, and the number of people lacking access to water rises, millions, if not billions, of others are expected to face a similar fate as water shortages become more frequent. Presently, Hassain is one of about 1.2 billion people living in areas of physical water scarcity, although the majority of cases are nowhere near as dire. By 2030, 47 per cent of the world’s population will be living in areas of high water stress, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's Environmental Outlook to 2030 report. Some analysts worry that wars of the future will be fought over blue gold, as thirsty people, opportunistic politicians and powerful corporations battle for dwindling resources.
