Israel’s increasing vulnerability

Prophecy Sign:  Increasing isolation of the Jewish State on the world stage at the time of the end. (Leading to Jerusalem being "trampled on by the Gentiles" for 42 months).

Bible prophecy indicates that Israel will experience a series of highs and lows during the time of the end.  Israel will first experience the lows of wars, (Psalm 83 & Gog/Magog of Ezekiel), but God will provide a high by securing Israel’s victories in those wars.

Israel will then experience another high when they sign what they think will be a peace treaty of lasting length between themselves and the world, (Daniel ).  However a low, so low will occur halfway through the agreement when fully 2/3 of all Jews will be cut-off, (killed during the Tribulation - Zechariah 13), and the remaining remnant of Jewish people will have to abandon Israel and Jerusalem to seek a shelter where God will protect them during the final half of the Tribulation, (Revelation 12).  During this time, Jerusalem will be trampled upon by the Gentiles.

However, a final major high will occur for the Jewish remnant when Christ their Messiah returns at the conclusion of the Tribulation to set up his earthly Kingdom which will include among others, these Jewish saints.
I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers.  But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. Revelation 11:1-2 NIV

From the articles:
While Israel has been a bystander to the Arab world’s recent turmoil, events are conspiring against it. Early, unrealistic expectations about “democracy now” increasingly resemble experiments with Israel’s security, experiments gone badly wrong. Implacable enemies, notably Iran, are strengthening their positions by exploiting the turmoil. Israel’s security environment has steadily darkened as Palestinian leaders fritter away two decades of opportunity (since America drove Saddam Hussein from Kuwait) to engage in direct, face-to-face negotiations.

This comes at a tough moment for the Israelis. Not only has the strategic landscape been remade around them, not only has the Arab Spring distracted the world from the potential threat posed by the Iranian nuclear program about which the Israelis have great concerns, but looming is the U.N. vote in September on Palestinian statehood. It is not only increasingly clear that the vast majority of the world's nations side with the Palestinians but even the Israeli's staunchest defenders like the United States have come to the conclusion internally that it is not a question of "if" but "how" and not a question of "when" but "how soon can it happen?"

Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal said that he gives the Israeli government a one-year deadline to recognize an independent Palestinian state founded on lands occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem as its capital, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported.

Hamas would be willing to accept a Palestinian state within 1967 borders, a leader of the militant group, Mahmoud Zahar, told the Palestinian news agency Ma'an on Wednesday, adding, however, that Hamas would never recognize Israel since such a move would counter the group's aim to "liberate" all of Palestine.
