Will Radical Islam Come to Power in Egypt?

We don't know where this is all heading.  It's a very frightening thought to consider what the Middle-East, and North Africa may look like 5 or 10 years into the future.  All we know is that little Israel sits alone as the only beacon of democracy and stability in the region.  Please pray for her safety.

As for the Arab world, the angel of the Lord certainly knew what he was talking about when he described what the descendants of Ishmael, (father of the Arabs), would be like.

The angel of the LORD also said to her: "You are now with child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard of your misery. He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers." Genesis 16:11-12 NIV

A brotherhood text titled "Jihad is the Way" details support for the establishment of an Islamic regime. A group which is a front for al-Qaeda has called for an Islamic state of Egypt. The group, The Islamic State of Iraq, has called on protesters in Egypt to overthrow the current establishment and push for a government which promotes Islamic law. A US-based Middle East watching group has intercepted a statement on an Islamic Web site, which calls on "every able-bodied man" in Egypt to open "the doors of martyrdom."

Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah said Monday the unrest in Egypt will transform the Middle East by pushing out a regime that has maintained peace with Israel. Nasrallah predicted that whatever leadership emerges in Egypt after Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will move away from Israel, leaving it more isolated. "You are fighting the battle of Arab dignity, the dignity of the Arab human being that was humiliated by some of its leaders in the past decades," Nasrallah said during a ceremony to support the Egyptian demonstrators and to protest the 1979 peace treaty between Cairo and Israel.
