Israeli Army Chief Ashkenazi: Prepare for all-out war

Radical Islam and the Jewish state mix about as well as oil does with water.  They don't.  It is the stated goal of the radicals who are now taking over the religion of Islam to not only set up an Islamic Caliphate, but to also eradicate the Jewish state, and all Jewry, (not to mention all Christians who refuse to submit to Islam).

So it's no wonder Israel is now readying for an all out war on all fronts.  Bible prophecy tells us about this war in various sections of the Old Testament.  The main prophecy is contained in Psalm 83, which names the participants and their motifs, (all the bordering nations surrounding Israel today, and to erase the name of Israel forever).  Given all that is happening today in Egypt, (and what this might lead to in the other Arab nations in the middle-east), it would be a good guess to suggest that this war is not that far away.  (The good news.....Israel wins).

No one wants war.  Many will die.  That is why we are commanded to pray for the peace of Israel and Jerusalem.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure. Psalm 122:6 NIV

From the articles:
Given recent changes in the Middle East, Israel must prepare for a battle in several theaters, outgoing IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi said Monday at the Herzliya Conference.  "The connection between the different players requires us to contend with more than one theater," he said.  The radical camp in the Middle East is gaining strength, Ashkenazi warned, adding that "the moderate camp among the traditional Arab leadership is weakening." He also made note of what he characterized as the "fascinating phenomenon" whereby power is shifting to the people of the region thanks to online social networks.

Almost from its beginning, Islam has been a religion divided by warring camps. The tragedy of Islam is that Muslims are far more likely to die at the hands of their co-religionists than by those outside their faith. All religions have their sects and divisions, but Islam’s history is particularly defined by the violence that began shortly after the death of its founder, Mohammed. If the turmoil in Egypt is about freedom then recent history gives little evidence that Arabs have any talent for it. Iran is a prison-nation. Syria is ruled by the son of its former dictator. Hamas rules Gaza. Et cetera.
