Brotherhood to Help Draft Egypt's New Constitution

After the resignation of Hosni Mubarak as the Egyptian President, the military stepped in and took the reigns of power.  However this will not last forever and the Egyptian people will eventually have a say as to who will be calling the shots in government.  The great concern among many middle-east watchers is that the Muslim Brotherhood, (who have a radical Islamic, anti-Israel element within their ranks), will take power in elections sometime this fall.  Should the Brotherhood win power, it will likely result in the end to the Egypt/Israel peace treaty and an end to any and all trade agreements, (natural gas for instance).

Israel already has enemies on its northern border in Syria and Hezzbolah controlled Lebanon.  Not to mention Hamas, (a Muslim Brotherhood offshoot), controlled Gaza strip, and the Palestinian West Bank.  There continues to be much unrest in the middle-east with other Arab nations that border Israel in some peril of succumbing to the same type revolution that is occurring in Egypt.  It may be soon that Israel will be surrounded by enemies who look for her destruction.

There is a very important prophecy in the book of Psalm, which foretells of a war between Israel and the nations that immediately border the Jewish State.  This war prophecy, (Psalm 83), lists several different people groups that conspire together to destroy the name of Israel forever.  It is very interesting to see all that is happening in the middle-east, knowing the prophecy that these events will lead to.

With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you—the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites, Byblos, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre. Even Assyria has joined them to reinforce Lot’s descendants. Psalm 83:5-8 NIV

From the articles:
The Muslim Brotherhood will be a part of the committee tasked with drafting Egypt's interim constitution.  The group's appointment to the eight-member panel suggests the military may be willing to legitimize the Brotherhood nearly 60 years after it was banned.

Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood will set up a political party once restrictions are lifted that prevented it and other groups from doing so under President Hosni Mubarak. The Islamist group said in a statement it had declared its desire to a set up a party many years ago but was stopped by the political parties law, one of many curbs on political activity during Mr Mubarak's rule.
