Queensland warning over Cyclone Yasi

Whatever it is that you Americans and Australians did to get God slightly perturbed at you, please leave it at home before crossing the border into Canada.  Thank you very much.

In all seriousness, could these news headlines be any closer to a fit for what Jesus warned would occur just prior to his return?  Now I know a record setting snow storm over America and a record setting Cyclone over Australia are not the "tossing of the sea".  However we believe that that particular portion of Jesus warning was telling us the world would be all consumed by any and all weather related anomalies that batter the globe during the last days.

“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Luke NIV

From the articles:
The Australian state of Queensland could be facing one of the worst cyclones in its history, as it works to recover from devastating floods. State Premier Anna Bligh said that Cyclone Yasi had the potential to be one of the "most significant cyclones that we've ever had to deal with". The storm is expected to hit the coast on Wednesday night.

A strong tropical cyclone roared toward Australia's flood-ravaged northeast on Monday, prompting evacuations and warnings from officials that the storm could be the worst the already-swamped region has ever seen. Cyclone Yasi strengthened to a Category 3 on Monday with winds up to 115 mph (185 kph). It was expected to hit the Queensland state coast on Wednesday or Thursday as a fierce Category 4 storm with wind gusts up to 162 mph (260 kph). The storm could dump up to three feet (one meter) of rain on some communities already saturated from months of flooding, Queensland Premier Anna Bligh said.

Some of the coldest air of the season will plummet southward and combine with another storm developing over the southern Plains, according to CNN meteorologist Sean Morris. An intense surface low will develop over north Texas and pull abundant warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico into the frigid Arctic air diving southward into the Plains. The result: blizzard conditions, heavy snow, ice storms and tornadoes. This storm appears to be another one for the record books.
