Muslim Brotherhood Wants War With Israel

Prior to the events currently take place in Egypt, (and other Middle-East nations), one of the few things holding back another middle-east war were the peace treaties in place between Egypt and Israel and Jordan and Israel.  However that could all change should Egypt fall into the hands of the radical Muslim Brotherhood who have a serious case of hating everything Israel.  And should Egypt fall that quickly into the hands of such a radical bunch, then Jordan would not be far behind.  This would set up a situation where Israel would be surrounded on all sides by enemies intent on her destruction.

Are we now seeing the final stages of setup for what many bible prophecy observers call the Psalm 83 war?

See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads. Mohamed Ghanem, one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, calls Egypt to stop pumping gas to Israel and prepare the Egyptian army for a war with it’s eastern neighbor. Speaking with Iranian television station Al-Alam, Mohamed Ghanem blamed Israel for supporting Hosni Mubarak’s regime. Ghanem also said that the Egyptian police and army won’t be able to stop the Muslim Brotherhood movement. There are doubts about the loyalty of the Egyptian army to president Mubarak.

If the Muslim Brotherhood grabs the reins in the massive Arab country, Israel will face an enemy with one of the largest and strongest militaries around, built on some of the most advanced American-made platforms. The impact on Israel will be immediate – the IDF will need to undergo major structural changes, new units will need to be created and forces in the South will likely need to be beefed up. Since the Yom Kippur War in 1973, the IDF has not had to worry about two fronts at once. Until now.
