PLO Flag Raised in Washington, D.C.

The gang of four, (Obama**, Russia, E.U. and the U.N.), continue to put pressure on Israel by cozying up to the Palestinians and PLA aspirations of statehood.  We have noted in past blog entries that this gang of four sounds an awful lot like the prophecy contained in the book of Zechariah about four horns:

Then I looked up--and there before me were four horns!  I asked the angel who was speaking to me, "What are these?" He answered me, "These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem." Zechariah 1:18-19 NIV

We are not sure where this is all heading.  Could some sort of peace treaty arise out of this push to declare a new Palestinian State?  Will it instead lead to war?  We do know two things for sure;  First, God will judge the nations that divide the Holy Land, (Joel 3),  Second, when the world starts to declare that peace has been achieved, sudden destruction will befall the world, (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

** We refuse to lump all Americans and America herself with the policies of Barack Obama and his administration towards Israel, as we know most Americans are still great supporters of Israel.

House Foreign Affairs Committee chairwoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla) was among those opposing the tactic. "Raising this flag in D.C. is part of the Palestinian leadership's scheme to manipulate acceptance and diplomatic recognition of a yet-be-be-created Palestinian state, while refusing to directly negotiate with Israel or accept the existence of Israel as a democratic, Jewish state," Ros-Lehtinen said in a statement. "[It's] part of the same strategy aimed at extracting concessions without being required to meet international commitments."

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday Moscow had recognized an independent Palestinian state in 1988 and was not changing that position adopted by the former Soviet Union. But on his first visit to the Israeli-occupied West Bank as Russian head of state, Medvedev stopped short of making a ringing declaration of recognition of Palestinian statehood by the Russian Federation that he represents.
