Prophecy Sign: The identity of the future Antichrist
First off, let us state this emphatically; We have no idea of the identity of the future Antichrist. With that said, we believe that Satan has had a prime candidate standing by the ready since Jesus ascended into heaven nearly 2,000 years ago. Of course that person has change each generation as one candidate dies off and another is born. So somewhere in this world right now is the person Satan will make his man when God determines that the time of Jacobs Troubles need to begin.
If we are as close to the end of this dispensations as we think we are, then the future Antichrist should already be making his rise to the top of the political/financial/economic world. He will likely be somebody that comes completely out of "left field", (as they say).
The reason we are including this article on Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, is to show how quietly and quickly someone from seemingly out of nowhere can suddenly become very important in world affairs, (and be a potential Antichrist candidate). While Russia Europe that most people believe the Antichrist will arise from, (most think Western Europe ), it is interesting that this Russian Presidential candidate is proposing a new European currency and closer relations between Russia Europe .
Should we be trying to determine the identity of the Antichrist? Well frankly, there would be no purpose in it, as we believe the person that will become the Antichrist likely doesn't even know himself what his ultimate destiny will be. However, it is still interesting to see the sudden rise of a political or financial star and wonder, (especially when the new European star has both political, financial and economic savvy and is still young enough to appeal to the masses).
In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a fierce-looking king, a master of intrigue, will arise. He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy those who are mighty, the holy people.
