Israel and Syria brace for regional war between mid-Dec. 2011 and mid-Jan 2012

Prophecy Sign:  The Psalm 83/Isaiah 17 Arab/Israel War

Things continue to heat up in the middle-east, and especially so between Israeland Syria. We are told in bible prophecy that this build-up well explode into war, (likely the Psalm 83 War first), which may be the time the world will see a city that has existed for generations, come to destruction. That city being Damascus, (Isaiah 17 has more to say about this).

We have a link to a Bill Salus article that further explains the Psalm 83 war and the end-times timing thereof:  The 3 Pre-Psalm 83 Rapture views

From the articles:
The actions and words of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Syrian ruler Bashar Assad in the last 72 hours indicate they are poised for a regional war, including an attack on Iran, for some time between December 2011 and January 2012. In their different ways, both have posted road signs to the fast-approaching conflict as debkafile's Middle East sources disclose.
Neither the United States nor Russia would have concentrated two powerful fleets in the proximity of Syria and Iran unless they were certain a military conflagration was imminent. While any of the prime movers, Washington, Moscow, Tehran, Israel or Bashar Assad, may at the last moment step back from the brink of a regional war, at the moment, there is no sign of this happening.

Israel has sent additional forces to its borders with Lebanon and Syria. The Saudi-owned Al Hayat daily, quoting Israeli security sources, said the deployment was meant to counter any attack from its northern neighbors amid increasing international pressure on Iran, Syria and Hizbullah.Israel has decided to deploy three armored units at its northern border with Syria and Lebanon in fear that Arab economic sanctions on Syria would inflame the region,” Al Hayat said.

Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Shaul Mofaz warned Monday that the duress which Syrian President Bashar Assad finds himself under could soon lead to an armed conflict between Syria and Israel. "The closer the Assad regime in Syria gets to death's door, the bigger the threat against Israel becomes," the Kadima Mk stated in an interview with Army Radio. "It can be reasonably assumed that in the twilight of his rule, Assad will try to deflect attention from the massacre of his own people by starting a conflict with Israel," Mofaz added.

Iraqhas raised renewed fears that the Middle East will be engulfed by sectarian bloodshed if Syria's President Bashar al-Assad is deposed as the country falls into civil war.
Nouri al-Maliki gave his most unequivocal support yet to the Assad regime, and even hinted that its downfall could force Iraq into an Iranian-led alliance against the Arab world's Sunni states. "The killing or removal of President Bashar in any way will explode into an internal struggle between two groups and this will have an impact on the region," said Mr Maliki, refering to predictions of region wide conflict between Sunni Muslims and the Shia sect. "It will end with civil war and this civil war will lead to alliances in the region. Because we are a country that suffered from the civil war of a sectarian background, we fear for the future of Syria and the whole region."
