Israeli president: Clock ticking on Iran

Prophecy Sign:  Iran, (Persia), and war in the Middle-East

Is all the recent talk about Iranand war simply rhetoric, or are we fast approaching the last days war described by Ezekiel the Prophet some 2.500 years ago?

This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshek and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you. Ezekiel 38:3-6 NIV

From the articles:
Israel's president says the international community is closer to pursuing a military solution to the standoff over Iran's nuclear program than a diplomatic one. The remarks by Shimon Peres to Israel's channel 2 TV Friday were unusual because he is known as a dove and optimist. Peres said world leaders need to "fulfill their promises" to stop Iran"whatever it takes." He said, "There is a long menu as to what can be done." He did not elaborate. The interview comes days after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was reported to be seeking ministers' support for a strike against Iran.

Iranratcheted up tensions in the Middle East yesterday when its foreign minister declared the country was ‘ready for war’ with Israeland the West. In inflammatory remarks certain to fuel uncertainty in the volatile region, Ali Akbar Salehi warned that Tehranwould ‘not hesitate’ to retaliate if attacked. His posturing came as Foreign Secretary William Hague urged Israel’s defence minister not to fan the flames during top-level talks in London.

A war of words broke out between Iranand Western powers over allegations that it was moving definitively closer to a nuclear weapons capacity. The Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said the country was "always ready for war" and warned the United States against "entering a collision course" with the Islamic Republic. Downing Street confirmed that "all options remained on the table", including the use of force, as Britain considered its own response to growing calls within Israel for a pre-emptive strike against the nuclear programme.
