Prophecy Sign: The coming global false religious system of the last days.


It's obvious that the Pope doesn't read the same bible that we do for if he had he would think twice about associating with a group of religious leaders that are living in the dark:

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14NIV

But this is not surprising as we believe that the Catholic Church will be one of the major constructors of the coming false religious system that we read about in Revelations 17. But it is not just the Roman Church that will make up this false system, but many of the apostate mainstream Christian protestant churches and many within Evangelical Christianity that have diminished or outright questioned the value of the cross and instead preach that man, through a social gospel, can change the world.

Jesus Christ knew that this falling away from true faith would be the case just prior to his return to, as he made a couple of comments that cut right to the soul of the matter. In the first comment, Jesus questioned whether true faith would be found among Christendom upon his return:

I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:8 NIV

And in his second comment he let it be known that not everyone that claims to be a Christian will be recognized as such:

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:21-23 NIV

Don't be deceived. There is only one way to Christ Jesus, and that is through the acceptance of his death as atonement for your sin. A gift that you must first ask for after making acknowledgment to God that you are indeed outside a right relationship with him due to your sin nature.

Pope Benedict XVI has invited 300 religious leaders to a meeting in Assisi in Italy to repudiate “violence in the name of God” amid growing tensions fuelled by fundamentalists across the world. The day of inter-religious council, which will be held on Thursday in St. Francis of Assisi’s birthplace, is intended to be a “journey of reflection, dialogue and prayer for peace and justice in the world,” the Vatican said.

Over 50 Islamic representatives are expected to attend the talks from several countries, including Saudi Arabia and Iran. They will be joined by Rabbis, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, Sikhs, a Zoroastrian, a Bahai and representatives of Taoism and Confucianism as well as of other traditional religions from Africa and America. For the first time, four atheists will also attend the meeting, which is traditionally organised so as not to coincide with the Muslim day of prayer on Friday, the Jewish one on Saturday or the Christian one on Sunday.
