Prophecy Sign:  There will be wars and rumors of wars

One of the major storylines of the last days and the Tribulation period is that of wars. We are told by Jesus Christ that we would hear of wars and rumours of wars. Wars of the last days are foretold throughout the Old Testament by the Prophets of old. Ezekiel’s, Gog/Magog, Psalm 83, Isaiah 17, Daniel 11, plus the Apostle John , the writer of Revelation, wrote of many terrible wars to be fought during the Tribulation which would take millions of lives.

Just read the red captioned parts of the articles below and you will be convinced that we must truly be living in the very last days when rumours of wars will soon be replaced by actual wars.

The brewing confrontation between Israel and Turkey, both U.S. allies, in the eastern Mediterranean gas dispute could eventually involve the Americans to prevent the Middle East erupting into open conflict again. The dispute also pits Turkey, and the enclave in northern Cyprus it seized in a 1974 invasion, with the Greek Cypriots who control the southern two-thirds of the island. The region's gas deposits are "so vast that the economic map of the region is already being redrawn, even as tensions flare," the Financial Times observed last week.

North Korea has recently moved fighter jets near the Northern Limit Line, the de facto maritime border, and ground-to-air missiles close to Baeknyeong Island. There is speculation that it plans a minor provocation while South Korean president Lee Myung-bak visits the U.S. since any show of unity between the two allies tends to incense the North. "The North Korean military was seen moving mobile missile launchers at a ground-to-ship missile base near the NLL," a government source said. "There's likelihood that the North will launch a military provocation" while Lee is away.

A Lebanese strategic analyst warned on Monday that Hezbollah would strike the Israeli facilities if Tel Aviv continues stealing Lebanon's oil and sea reserves. "In case the enemy steals Lebanon's oil, Hezbollah will have the right to strike its oil installations and facilities," Feisal Abdossater told FNA on Monday. The analyst cautioned that Zionists' aggressive and expansionist moves in the Mediterranean Sea has heightened tension between the two sides, and said the situation is now ripe for the start of clashes between Lebanon and the Israeli regime.
