The Western mainstream media will be complicit with the Antichrist during his rule and reign on this planet during the tribulation. And during this horrible seven year period, many Tribulation Saints will be martyred for holding fast to their faith in Jesus Christ.

The question might arise; Just how could this happen that millions of people will be put to death in such so called "enlightened' nations that make up the Western World? We could see such events happening in places like the Muslim world where chopping off someone’s hand for stealing is a daily occurrence, and life is seemingly very cheap. But in our Western democracies??  And the media would be silent??

Hundreds of millions of Christians have suffered discrimination or even persecution in lands as diverse as China and India, but mostly in countries where Islam is the top religion. Despite this, persecution of Christians is one topic the American public doesn't hear much about. One possible reason: an anti-Christian bias among Western elites. These Western elites often control the media and educational institutions that spread information to the general public. But they rarely cover or discuss the reality that Christians may well be the most persecuted religious group on the planet. It has been estimated that Christians number some 2.2 billion people. Harassment of them can range from loss of life to loss of livelihood.
