Shofar ends spiritual slumber on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur

Prophecy Sign:  The Last Trumpet will sound.  We will be caught up, (the Rapture)

Most Christians have never been taught the Hebraic traditions of the bible.  Remember, the bible for the most part was written by Jews for a Jewish audience, (with the exception of the New Testament after the Gospels).

As most Christians have not been taught these traditions and Hebrew idioms, the interpretation of bible prophecy and scripture has become muddled up.  Case in point, the blowing of the Last Trump.  Many Christians have been taught that the last trump equates to the 7th Trumpet of the Trumpets Judgments of Revelation.  Consequently those who believe that the last trump occurs during the Tribulation believe that the Church must therefore go through the Tribulation, with Christ removing the Church at his second coming at the end of the Tribulation.

However, once you know of the traditions that Paul, (a Jew and the writer of the letter to the Corinthians), knew of, then this passage of scripture takes on a whole new meaning.

Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—  in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.  1 Corinthians 15:51-52 NIV

We have an article from the Vancouver Sun which explains more about this final blast of the Shofar, (Trumpet), which takes place during the coming fall Jewish feasts.  We also have a link to an article which explains further the differences between the Shofar blast of 1 Corinthians 15:52, and the Trumpet blast of Revelation 11:15

To all of our Jewish friends, we wish you the best during the upcoming feast days ahead.  And for those Christians who know of the relationship between Jesus Christ’s fulfillments of the first 4 Jewish feasts and the possibility of his fulfillment of the final 3 feasts, we say look up, for exciting things might just be around the corner. Shalom and Shana Tova.

From the article:
The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, falls this year - as it does every year - on the first day of the month of Tishri. Because the Jewish year is based on a lunar calendar, the first of Tishri can land anytime from early September to the first week of October. This year, the date is Sept. 29 but, since the day is determined by the moon, the holiday actually begins at sundown Sept. 28.

Nothing illuminates the emotional high of Rosh Hashanah and the days that follow more than the blowing of the shofar, the ancient wind instrument made from a ram's horn. Jews will be roused from spiritual slumber by 100 blasts of the shofar on Rosh Hashanah, while one long blast at the end of the final Yom Kippur service signifies that the prayers have been received, the Book of Life has been sealed, the Divine has left the realm, and it's time to eat. The shofar is a powerful symbol, famously used by Joshua to bring down the walls of Jericho and throughout biblical history as a call to the people to assemble, to intimidate an enemy and to advance in battle.
