Prophecy Sign: The revived Roman Empire, (the final world empire that will spread its tentacles world wide).
Bible prophecy tells us that a final world empire will rise out of the former realm of the Roman Empire , (Revelation 17). This final empire will be the entity that the Antichrist will rise to power from and spread the tentacles of his power throughout the world.
It is simply amazing how fast this economic/financial final empire is coming together. We have heads of state from all over Europe, (British P.M., David Cameron, EU Commissioner, Joaquin Almunia, German Finance Minister, Wolfgang Schäuble), all calling for a new political union in Europe that many are calling the United States of Europe. In addition, the current EU President is calling for greater powers to be given over, to not only this new Super-State, but to its Presidency, (of which van Rompuy says he will gladly continue to govern from....how benevolent of him).
We have serious doubts that the current EU President, Herman van Rompuy is the future Antichrist. (He is not exactly an awe inspiring and captivating world leader). However, with van Rompuy now calling for greater powers to be given to the EU Presidency, we can easily see a future charismatic leader rising to power out of this freshly empowered political position, and then taking over a similar role on a global scale.
