Prophecy Sign: The Psalm 83 and Gog/Magog end-times Middle-East wars
When your home-front Command Chief is saying there is a great likelihood of a regional war in the middle-east, you know you must be in a serious situation. Such is the case for Israel as these articles point out. The Israeli Command Chief pretty much mentions every group that is prophesied to come against Israel in what we believe will be the first of several middle-east wars; that of the Psalm 83 war, (also alluded to in several other books of the Old Testament). The Command Chief also mentions two members of the Gog/Magog alliance of nations that will come against Israel , also during the last days, (Turkey and Iran).
What separates these two wars? That we are not sure of. It could be two very separate wars, or a major battle followed quickly by a full-scale war. We do know that these two prophetic wars are prophesied to have completely different players, (aside from Israel ). In the Psalm 83 war, the immediate neighbors of Israel come against the Jewish State in order to destroy the name of Israel forever, (Psalm 83:1-4). Whereas the Gog/Magog alliance is made up of Muslim nations, (and perhaps Russia), that come from all over the middle-east, North Africa, Central Asia and Eastern Europe. This alliance, written about by the Prophet Ezekiel, doesn't seem to include any of the nations or groups mentioned in the Psalm 83 war.
It's our belief that the Psalm 83 war will see the Israel Defence Forces, (along with a couple of well placed nuclear weapons), propel Israel to a major victory. This victory will result in the seven year peace agreement between Israel and the world. The Gog/Magog war will occur when Israel , (and the world), are in the midst of what they think is a long lasting treaty of peace.
From the articles:
Recent revolutions in the Arab world and the deteriorating ties with Turkey are raising the likelihood of a regional war in the Middle East , IDF Home Front Command Chief, Major General Eyal Eisenberg warned Monday. "It looks like the Arab Spring, but it can also be a radical Islamic winter," he said in a speech at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv. "This leads us to the conclusion that through a long-term process, the likelihood of an all-out war is increasingly growing," the IDF general said.
______________________________________The likelihood of an all-out regional war in the Middle East is increasing, the head of the IDF Home Front Command said on Monday, Channel 10 reported. Speaking to the Institute for National Security Studies, Major General Eyal Eisenberg said that such a conflict could potentially include the use of weapons of mass destruction.
______________________________________"Iran has not abandoned its nuclear program. The opposite it true; it continues full steam ahead," he said. "In Egypt , the army is collapsing under the burden of regular security operations, and this is reflected in the loss of control in the Sinai and the turning of the border with Israel into a terror border, with the possibility that Sinai will fall under the control of an Islamic entity." "In Lebanon , Hezbollah is growing stronger within government arms, but it has not lost its desire to harm Israel , and the ties with Turkey aren't at their best," He added. Referring to what he characterized as the possibility of a "radical Islamic winter," Eisenberg warned "This raises the likelihood of an all-out, total war, with the possibility of weapons of mass destruction being used."
