For the Jewish people, and the nation of Israel, it will become an ever more perilous world for them.  The delegitimization of Israel is being stepped up by everyone from Mainline Churches, (Presbyterian, Methodist, United, etc), to contemporary musicians.  And anti-Semitism is making an ugly comeback in Europe, (and other areas).  This evil will only get worse for the Jewish people as 2/3 of all Jews living in the holy land will be killed during the dark days of the Tribulation.  The remaining will be driven from the homes and will be protected by God himself, (likely in Petra).   Please pray for the nation of Israel and for the Jewish people, and please stand by them during the dark says ahead.

Then the LORD will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods--gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known. Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart. Tensions are re-emerging between Jewish organizations and some mainline Protestant churches in the wake of a renewed drive for churches to divest from companies doing business with Israel.  The United Methodist Church opened discussions last Friday on a resolution calling for divestment from Caterpillar, the tractor manufacturer, because the company supplies Israel with bulldozers used in building the separation barrier and in demolishing Palestinian homes. The divestment resolution comes only months after the publication of a church-sponsored report referring to the creation of the State of Israel as the “original sin.”

Relations with the Presbyterian Church (USA) are also strained, following remarks by church officials criticizing Israel because of the Gaza closure. A recent study by an affiliate of the Presbyterian Church called on American Jews to “get a life” instead of focusing on defending Israeli policies.

A group of international pop singers has just collaborated on an anti-Israel, pro-Palestine song that accuses Israel of “crimes against humanity” and “illegal occupation,“ and demands ”freedom for Palestine.” And the song is being publicly supported by the likes of British powerhouse group Coldplay.

On April 19, the Corfu synagogue, in Greece, was burned. How many Jews live in Corfu today? One hundred and fifty. How many Jews live in Greece? Eight thousand, or about 0.8% of the population. For some, it seems these figures are still far too high. Two other synagogues were burned in Greece during the past year. Anti-Semitic graffiti on the walls are spreading all over the country. What happened in Greece is happening everywhere across the European continent.
