Events continue to push towards Palestinian statehood, and perhaps a signed peace treaty.  While Israel has no desire to give away yet more land and half it's capital of Jerusalem, the world is not giving Israel much choice;  Basically threatening to go ahead with a September unilateral declaration of statehood if there is no progress in peace talks.  Is this leading to the seven years of peace that the Prophet Daniel was told would happen at the end of days?  Remains to be seen, but these events could also be the precursor to the much talked about Psalm 83 war.

He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. Daniel 9:27

Hours after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with his British counterpart David Cameron and on the eve of his planned meeting with French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Thursday, foreign sources said that both heads of state have threatened to support the Palestinians' statehood bid in  the UN if there is no progress in peace talks. The Guardian quoted a diplomatic source as saying Cameron told Netanyahu that Britain would consider supporting a unilateral declaration of statehood by the Palestinians if Israel fails to join substantive peace talks to create a two-state solution
