IMF bombshell: Age of America nears end

Prophecy Sign: The demise of American influence in world affairs, and the rise of a New World global economic/financial order.

America, (and the rest of the Western world for that matter), is not mentioned in bible prophecy.  We are told of the King of the South, the King of the North, the Kings of the East, and many of the current middle-eastern and North Africa Muslim nations, all in end-time prophecy.  But the only passage that may have something to do with the Western world in bible prophecy is that of Ezekiel 38:13 which mentions a grouping called Tarshish and the "young lions thereof".  Some prophecy buffs suggest this passage refers to Great Britain and her offspring, (Canada, America, Australia, etc).

So why is the West, and in particular, America not in prophecy?  Could it be that America and the West will have lost much of its power and influence due to an economic collapse?  And additionally, the Rapture of the Church will greatly impact America and the West, as many millions of influential Christians that held power in business, government and the military will have vanished, leaving great voids and subsequent major instability.

Until we understand exactly how bad our problems are we will never be willing to accept the solutions.  The truth is that our leaders have absolutely wrecked the greatest economic machine that the world has ever seen.  Most Americans just assume that we will always experience overwhelming prosperity, but that is not anywhere close to the truth.
