How Next War In Mideast Will Shape Up And When

Prophecy Sign:  Wars in the Middle-East, featuring Israel against just about every Muslim nation in the Middle-East.

The following article, while a little lengthy, is a very good summation of the current events that are occurring between Israel, Hezbollah, Hamas and the Palestinians and how it is all building towards a summer war.  Bible prophecy is so exact in nature;  Warning us of a coming war when the immediate neighbours of Israel will conspire together to wipe out the Jewish nation and the Jewish people.  (read Psalm 83)

We have an Iranian puppet state in Lebanon controlled by Hezbollah, an emboldened Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt ready to take the reigns of power, as well as a Hamas controlled Gaza that is working with the new Egyptian rulers.  Syria is in the throws of revolution and is making Israel nervous with the prospects of attacks from the Syrians in order to rally support for the Syrian leadership.

All the major players of the prophesied war of Psalm 83 are lining up, firming up and arming up in readiness for war with Israel.  A summer or fall battle, according to this article, is to be expected.  While bible prophecy will be fulfilled as it always is, we are still told to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure. Psalm 122:6 NIV

From the article:
A calculation of when the next Mideast war might transition from the preliinary stages to intense, open conflict can be made by looking at the calendar of coming events.

Egyptian parliamentary elections are scheduled for September, with a presidential election in November. Egyptian politicians, in and out of the Muslim Brotherhood, are proving adept at blaming Israel and the Jews for all sorts of ills. An Israeli-Hamas war could stir Islamist sentiments to the advantage of the Muslim Brotherhood.

That the Palestinians intend to take their case to the U.N. in September offers a clue as well. Palestinian diplomats don't expect to win international recognition of their unilateral declaration of statehood in the Security Council, where the U.S. has a veto and friends.

Rather, Palestinians expect to take their case to the larger U.N. General Assembly using the "uniting for peace" procedure created in 1950 as a work-around from continuous vetoes from the Soviet Union regarding the Korean War.
